Course Title: Red-Blue Lesions of the Oral Cavity
Learning Objectives:
- Recognize the varied etiology of red-blue lesions.
- Recognize the clinical and etiologic basis of red-blue lesions.

- Understand the management strategies for red-blue lesions.
Course description:
This course is designed for dental health care professionals informing them of the biologic basis for xerostomia, burning mouth syndrome and common etiologic basis of these conditions. The discussions will focus on various theories proposed to cause burning mouth, common medications implicated in causing dry mouth and the varied effect of dry mouth. Participants will learn to recognize the new outlooks and current thoughts on management strategies of these complex yet common conditions.
Bio: Hardeep K. Chehal, DDS
Dr. Chehal is an associate professor in the Department of Diagnostic Sciences at the Creighton University School of Dentistry. She joined the faculty of the School of Dentistry in the fall of 2009. She earned a certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology from the University of Florida College Of Dentistry in Gainesville, Florida. She currently lectures to dental students in Systemic and General Pathology and Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. She has co-authored numerous articles in referred Journals. Dr. Chehal is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology.
