Takanari Miyamoto,

Dr. Miyamoto received his dental degree from Creighton University School of Dentistry, Master of Science degree from Boston University, & Ph.D degree from Nihon University and completed the summer institute of Clinical Research Methods, Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University Washington and Johns Hopkins University. He furthered his knowledge of Clinical Periodonctics & Implantology during his time at the Boston University, where he completed three years specialty training in Periodontics. Following the completion of his training, Dr. Miyamoto became an assistant professor at Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine where he maintained a practice limited to Periodontics & provided surgical periodontal & oral surgery related therapies.
Currently, Dr. Miyamoto serves as Creighton's Department Chairman, Director of Predoctoral Periodontics and adjunctive faculty member at the University of Nebraska Lincoln,College of Dentistry. Dr Miyamoto is a recipient of the Bud and Linda Tarrson Fellowship, offered through the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation, which is the most prestigious career development award offered to academic periodontists in United States. In addition, he has been named an “Evidence-Based Champion” by the American Dental Association and received the Educator Award of Excellence in Teaching and Mentoring Periodontics from American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) and Charles W. Finley Visiting Scholar Award from the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation (AAPF). He has also served as an editorial board for the Journal of Oral Science & a member of Honor Dental Society – Omicron Kappa Upsilon & is diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
Dr. Miyamoto published over 20 peer review & non-peer review articles & lectures nationally & internationally both to the dental and medical communities on the topics of Clinical Periodontics and Dental Implants.

Taera Kim,
DMD CAGS MSD
Dr. Kim grew up in California and received a B.S. in Biochemistry at UCLA. She received her dental degree from Boston University and graduated with high honors. She completed her residency training in Orthodontics and received her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Orthodontics and Master of Science in Dentistry in the Department of Health Policy and Health Services Research at Boston University.
Dr. Kim is a recipient of numerous scholarships & awards such as Lloyd B. Chaisson Memorial Award, Community Outreach Appreciation Award, Special Olympics Appreciation Award & others. Dr. Kim is a member of Honor Dental Society – Omicron Kappa Upsilon. She holds memberships in American Association of Orthodontist, American Dental Association, & Nebraska Dental Association.
